About John Akwei, ECMp ERMp Data Scientist

John Akwei, ECMp ERMp Data Scientist is the founder of ContextBase, a data science consultancy, since January 2013. He has over 10 years of experience as a data science leader, directing data efforts for AIIM International from 2008-2012 and previously working as an administrative assistant at Myvesta from 1999-2002.

He studied Data Science and earned a Data Science Specialization Certificate from Johns Hopkins University in 2014-2015. His skills include formulating hypotheses, statistical programming, building models, experimental design, and statistical inference. Earlier in his career, Akwei studied electronics technology at Capitol Technology University, graduating in 1986. He also studied computer science at Montgomery College in 1982-1983, and Computer Math at Northwood High School in Wheaton, Maryland, graduating in 1981.

He has published widely on Data Science topics and has proven abilities in full-cycle data science projects. Akwei has a proven ability to meet deadlines, completing over 83 major data science projects.
